does the learning ever stop?
For me, the real reward in teaching is watching that eureka moment happen in the student. Every individual has their own way of understanding a scale pattern or harmonic relationship, so it's up to me the teacher to provide a model that leads them to that understanding, and after watching the student struggle to get their head around a given conundrum, it's great to watch the penny drop, the clouds part, and the student say "Aaah, now I get it."
I know how good that feels, and if I can lead students to their eureka moments, than it's a job well done.
